v1.6: New Pets to Find & a Smarter Habit List 🐾

This update is all about pets and your habit list. Every dog and cat got brand-new art, you can now find new pets while you play, and your habits are quicker to read at a glance.

32 redrawn dogs and cats

All 16 dogs and 16 cats have new pixel art, from the French Bulldog, Corgi and Golden Retriever to the Siamese, Maine Coon and both Sphynx cats.

Pets feel more alive too. They switch between sitting and standing on their own, and they blink now. If you've turned on reduced motion, they stay still.

Find new pets

When an adventure finishes or you open a chest, there's a chance a new pet comes along. You'll get an Epic reveal: tap Show this pet to put them in your room right away, and then give them a name.

Already have that pet? You get coins instead.

Pet reveals wait their turn, so they won't pop up over your adventure's welcome-home card or the Egg Spin.

A sleepy hero (and pet)

If you haven't checked in today or yesterday, your hero gets sleepy and your pet curls up for a nap beside them. Check off a habit and they'll perk right back up.

A smarter habit list

Each habit now has a small 🔥 chip with your current streak, and a row of day pills underneath with today ringed, so you can see your week at a glance.

• Weekly habits show this week's days and your progress, like 2/3.
• Habits on set days only show the days you picked. On a day off, they read 😌 Rest.
• Done days, plus weekly and monthly progress, light up green.
• Habit names are bigger and easier to read, and long names fit better.
• The drag handle is slimmer: drag it to reorder, or tap the habit's icon to open its menu.

Hero creator and Bag

Beards now live in the Hair tab of the hero creator, and they're only for adult male heroes. If you switch to a young or female hero, the beard comes off.

Eye size is now picked in the hero creator only, so it's no longer in the Bag.

The clothes you pick when you create your hero are now regular Bag items, so you can take them off and put them back on like anything else.

Small fixes

• Tapping Add habit twice no longer opens the Bag by mistake.
• Pressing Esc now closes the Hero sheet.
• Fairer XP: the first 3 new habits you add each day earn XP, and deleting and re-adding the same habit won't earn it twice.
• The emoji on the check button no longer gets cut off.
• The Save your hero sheet now shows your right level, and the 13+ age note only shows up when it's needed.
• Cleaner arms in the level-up animation.
• Fixed a stray pixel on the varsity jacket collar.
• The phone status bar now matches the app's purple.
• Faster updates: art stays saved on your device, so after an update the app downloads much less and keeps working offline.
